Clinical Practice

I am a licensed psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (#10965) and specialize in outpatient psychotherapy for youth and adults.

Work with me is evidence-based, collaborative, and action-oriented.

All services are provided via telehealth. In my practice, I primarily work with teens,  college students, and adults.

Please contact me to determine if my practice might be the right fit for the services you are seeking.

I have extensive experience providing treatment and support for:

Clients and families I work with are commonly navigating challenges such as:

Culturally-Responsive & Evidence-Based Practice

I strive to provide culturally-responsive and evidence-based interventions grounded in strategies and techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and trauma systems therapy (TST). Clients often describe me as “easy to talk to,” “friendly,” “thoughtful,” “energetic,” “collaborative,” and “knowledgeable.” The frameworks of culturally responsive practice, cultural humility, intersectionality, and anti-racism have enormously shaped my work as a clinician, researcher, and social justice advocate.

If you are interested in potentially working with me please contact me by email or through my website Psychology Today clinician profile and I am happy to set up an initial phone conversation. This initial phone intake is complimentary and a great way to determine if I may be a good match for the services you are seeking and your current needs. During the phone intake I’ll also provide further details about my practice, my current availability, fees, etc.

Clinical Crisis Information:

If you or your child is at immediate risk for self-harm or is a danger to others, immediately call 911 or the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.

If your child requires an urgent mental health assessment, call or text the Massachusetts Behavioral Health Help Line at 833-773-BHHL (833-773-2445) or visit masshelpline.com for initial guidance. Experienced mental health clinicians are available at this line 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide clinical guidance, and direct you to appropriate resources. This may include your local Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) team, who could come to your home to perform a psychiatric assessment, if appropriate. This may enable you to avoid waiting in an emergency department. The Behavioral Health Help Line clinicians can also determine the most appropriate type of care for your child, help with referrals, and guide you through the next steps in the process. This service is available for all ages regardless of insurance coverage.

If you are looking for non-urgent mental health or substance use resource referrals for your child, you can also call or text 833-773-BHHL (833-773-2445) or start a chat at masshelpline.com/chat.

Billing and Fees:

I am an out-of-network provider and do not contract directly with any insurance companies. Upon request, I can provide a billing summary with diagnostic codes (i.e., superbill) that can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. In my practice, a 50-min psychotherapy session is billed at $295. This fee is pro-rated for all other clinical activities.

Further information about billing:

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the current law, healthcare providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected costs of any non-emergency items or services. Your healthcare provider should give you a Good Faith Estimate in writing and you can always request a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate – contact your provider, and/or your insurance provider, and/or call 800-985-3059
